The East Carolina section of the Illuminating Engineering Society invites interior designers, architects and others who want to know the basic rules for good lighting in their architectural spaces to attend this seminar.

About the instructors:  

Robert L. Henderson, LC, CLEP, IES

25 years of lighting design and application experience.  Four IESNA design awards for indoor and outdoor lighting including NC State Capitol.  Past principal instructor of CP&L Lighting Lab Seminars.  Currently serving on LC Test Committee for NCQLP.

 

Jeffrey L. Brown, IALD, IES

As Principal of Colorlume Inc., Jeff provides design lead and management overview on all projects in addition to required coordination efforts with the Design Team.

His design responsibilities include initial lighting conceptualization, calculations, specification writing, final design documentation, shop drawing review, and site review & final aiming.

Jeff lectures on various aspects lighting at trade shows, conferences and design centers throughout the U.S. , most recently at Lightfair 2000. His work has been featured in Architectural Lighting, Record Lighting and Residential Lighting Magazines.

In 1990, Jeff was a member of the design team awarded the IES Edwin F. Guth Award of Excellence and the G.E. Edison Award of Merit for the Steelcase Inc. Corporate Development Center in Grand Rapids , MI .   He has also been the recipient of numerous Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA) IIDA  awards.
